Community Information Integration (CII)
The Community Information Integration (CII) system transfers select patient information between your Community Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other members of the patient’s care team through Alberta Netcare to promote the sharing of important and protected information.
Both Primary Care Providers and Specialists in dedicated medicine can contribute to CII:
Primary Care Providers can use the CII system to report key metrics of patient data directly into Netcare to further our provincial quality, continuity, and efficiency efforts.
Specialists in the community are able to contribute consultation reports into Alberta Netcare through CII to facilitate the sharing of reports back to the family physician and other contributors of their health record.
Central Patient Attachment Registry (CPAR)
The use of the Central Patient Attachment Registry (CPAR) provincial system allows primary providers (or nurse practitioners) to identify their confirmed patient relationships to better
coordinate care and promote an easier adherence to guiding practice standards. This proactive planning initiative helps patients make informed and validated decisions.

To participate in these crucial programs, it is important for your practice to have implemented privacy and security planning. One aspect of this is completing a Privacy Impact Assessment and submitting it to the OIPC for comment.
The Raven Medical Management Privacy Impact Assessment Package includes endorsements for CII/CPAR participation and the supporting policies and procedures for streamlined implementation.
